We know that we ask a lot of our Adaptive / Therapeutic Riding horses. Carrying our riders, who experience various behavioural and physical challenges, requires them to be well trained and fit for the job.
So how do we need to school them in order to perform happy and healthy for a long time?
In this two day clinic of 8 hours each day we will build on what we have learned about conformation and movement during the "Finding your Unicorn" clinic.
As we go deeper into the topic of equine anatomy and physiology, we will explore how apply this knowledge to train and maintain our horses to the best of their abilities. We will discuss different training strategies, apply them and learn how they can benefit our indivdual horse. To assist with the transfer of the new knowledge into your program, you will receive a handbook and an equine profile that is yours to keep.
This clinic is aimed at people training horses for Adaptive Riding lessons and Equine Assisted Activities. There will be a balance of theoretical and practical components during this two day clinic of 8 hours per day.
Each participant will receive a certificate of completion. To ensure a personal learning atmosphere, this class is limited to 15 participants.
